    Cita:

MODELS 2008 -- First Call for Contributions

    ACM/IEEE 11th International Conference on
    Model-Driven Engineering Languages and Systems

    September 28 - October 3, 2008
    Toulouse, France

    http://www.modelsconference.org/
    ===========================================================================

After 10 years of conferences, the MODELS / UML series of conferences will
celebrate this succesful series with a number of special events.

The past decade has witnessed an explosion of interest in advanced
techniques for expressing design intent at a higher level of abstraction
than third-generation programming languages and for keeping abstract
    models of
complex software systems in sync with the underlying code. Domain-specific
modeling languages, model-driven engineering, model transformations, and
standardization of modeling languages are among the more significant
    emerging
trends. MODELS (formerly the UML series of conferences) is the premier
    conference
in model-driven approaches to software development, bringing together
practitioners and researchers to present and discuss both practical
    experience and innovative techniques.

MODELS?08 will be held in Toulouse, France. Toulouse is the 4th town in
    France
by size of population, and the 2nd town in France by number of students
    (115000 students,
10000 researchers). Toulouse also hosts major companies that
develop embedded software and large software systems. Located at 110km from
Pyrenean mountains, 150km from the Mediterranean sea, and 250km from the
    Atlantic
Ocean, it is a very convenient and beautiful location.

    Topics of interest

Scientific papers: We invite scientific research papers describing
    innovative
research on model-driven engineering and other aspects of modeling in the
development process. Scientific research papers also include well-designed
empirical studies, innovative automation solutions, and tool architectures.

Experience papers: We invite experience papers that focus on reporting
project experience with model-driven engineering. These papers should
describe the project context, detail practical lessons learned, and provide
insight about how model-driven approaches and technologies can be improved
for application in an industrial context.

In addition to scientific and experience reports, the conference
will host several exciting satellite events. Following the tradition
of previous editions, the satellite events will include workshops,
tutorials, poster sessions, a doctoral symposium, and an educator's
symposium. In addition to these, MODELS 2008 will host a technological
track, and for the first time, a research projects symposium.
The technological track aims to build bridges between academia
and industry by presenting tools commonly used in industrial
projects, illustrative case studies and industry best practices, with a
strong focus on the conference hot topics.

The research project symposium aims to bring together researchers
from academia and industry, and representatives of funding agencies in
order to create a forum for dialog on stakeholders' interests, policies,
and trends in the development of research projects, focusing on areas
of interest to the MODELS community.

The conference will include papers and presentations on many of the
    following topics:
    - Model-driven engineering methodologies, approaches, languages and
    tools
    - Domain-specific modeling languages
    - Empirical studies of modeling and model-driven engineering
    - Programming language and metaprogramming support for linking models
    to code
    - Models in the context of software evolution
    - Model evaluation, formal or heuristic
    - Model transformations
    - Model consistency management
    - Metamodeling
    - Modeling languages and tools
    - Semantics of modeling languages
    - Model-driven testing
    - Model quality
    - Modeling and analysis of real-time, embedded, and distributed systems
    - Model-driven adaptive systems development

Please visit the conference website http://www.modelsconference.org/ for
    more information.
